December 7 of each year is designated as "Oklahoma Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day", and the Governor is authorized and requested to: 1. Issue annually a proclamation calling on the citizens of the State of Oklahoma to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies and activities; and 2. Urge all state agencies, interested organizations, groups, and individuals to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff each December 7 in honor of the individuals who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor and in honor of those who died or were injured in World War II.
