Text

A.The Legislature finds that, due to the complex nature of litigation involving highly technical commercial issues, there is a need for specialized courts in Oklahoma with specific jurisdiction over actions involving such business issues.
B.There is hereby created a business court division within the district court of any judicial district containing a county with a population in excess of five hundred thousand (500,000), according to the latest Federal Decennial Census.
C.Each business court division created shall be categorized and named numerically. The Supreme Court shall promulgate rules for the implementation and administration of the business courts to the extent required by Article VII of the Oklahoma Constitution.
