A.

1.Unless agreed to in writing between the owner and the purchaser, the agent, or representative of the purchaser for each transaction, it shall be unlawful for any person who purchases livestock for slaughter, whether acting individually, as agent, or representative of another, to fail or refuse to make payment by negotiable check or wire transfer of funds to the owner, or the representative, agent, or assignee of the owner for the livestock on the business day within which the ownership of the livestock is transferred within the State of Oklahoma.
2.If the transfer of ownership is accomplished after normal banking hours, the payment shall be made in the manner provided not later than the close of the first business day following the transfer of ownership.
