§ 2-5-60.11 — Purpose of act.

A.The purpose of the Oklahoma Agricultural Commodity Act is: 1. To authorize and prescribe the necessary procedures by which the producers of agricultural commodities grown in this state may establish agricultural commodity producers boards to finance programs devised to alleviate any circumstance or condition that serves to impede the production, marketing, research or use of agricultural commodities; and 2. To establish a procedure for an existing statutory commodity board to privatize and convert to a successor organization.
B.Agriculture commodity producers boards established pursuant to the Oklahoma Agricultural Commodity Act shall be state agencies for purposes of The Governmental Tort Claims Act and are exempt from taxation in the same manner and to the same extent as other state
