Text

To effectuate the purposes of the Oklahoma Forestry Code, the Director of Forestry, or persons designated by the Director, shall have authority, and it shall be the Director’s duty, to prescribe rules necessary to insure the conservation and protection of suitable trees on lands owned by the State of Oklahoma. The rules shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following: 1. Require that a good growing stock of suitable trees shall be established and maintained on the land at all times to bring the land to full productivity; 2. Provide that suitable trees be managed for the most profitable products or other benefits; and 3. Require adequate fire protection at all times.
