Text

A.Prior to the expenditure or the contracting for the expenditure of a sum in excess of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), the county fair board shall present a notice of intent to the board of county commissioners setting forth: 1. The expected sum to be expended; 2. The reason for expending the sum of money; and 3. The anticipated amount of said expenditure. The county fair board shall secure from the board of county commissioners consent for such expenditure.
B.Nothing in this section shall be construed to authorize the fair board to purchase materials, services or equipment except in compliance with the requirements of the law otherwise governing such purchases.
