§ 19-875 — Meetings of board - Records - Right of entry - Acquisition

The board of directors shall hold their regular meetings in their office on the first Tuesday of each month beginning at 10:00 A.M., and in addition thereto, such special meetings as may be required for the proper transaction of business, provided all special meetings shall be ordered by the director of the board and such order be entered of record. Such order must also specify the business to be transacted at such meeting. Two members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, and upon all questions requiring a vote there shall be a concurrence of at least two members of such board. The board, its agents and employees, shall have the right to enter upon any land within the district, to make surveys and locate any sewer line and the necessary branches or extensions. The board shall also have the right to acquire by purchase or condemnation all lands and other property necessary for the construction, maintenance, repair and improvement, of any sewer lines or branches thereof within such district, and may acquire either by purchase or condemnation such lands as may be necessary for a sewage treatment or plant site and use in connection therewith and right of ways necessary therefor and the necessary right of way to any site of sewage treatment plant outside of such district. Said board shall also have the right to enter into any obligation or contract for the construction, operation and maintenance of the necessary lines for the collection of sewage within said district, and for the construction, operation and maintenance of a sewage disposal or treatment plant and other contracts necessary or incident to carrying out the purposes of this act.
