- Qualifications of assistant district attorneys - Tenure. There are hereby created the positions of district attorneys' payroll clerk and assistant payroll clerk whose duties shall be to prepare and process payroll and other claims and do all other necessary acts connected with receiving funds from counties and disbursing such funds, together with any funds appropriated from state funds to the district attorneys for payroll, travel and other expenses. Such payroll clerk and assistant payroll clerk shall work under the supervision of the District Attorneys Council which shall fix compensation for these positions. The compensations paid for these positions shall be made from state funds appropriated to the District Attorney System.
