Text
When any such special election is called, it shall be the duty of the Governor to select and commission one special election commissioner for each voting precinct or voting place in such county so holding such election as provided in this act; provided, that no such special election commissioner shall be, or have been a resident of the county or counties to be affected by such special election, and shall not be interested in any manner in the result thereof. Every such commission shall be in writing and shall be signed by the Governor. Before any such special election commissioner shall assume the duties of his office he shall take and subscribe to the following oath: Oath. I, ________ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, obey and defend the Constitution and laws of the State
