Text

The following shall be substantially the form for every petition, or petitions, filed with the Governor, asking that an election be called for the purpose of creating such new county, or detaching territory from one county, for the purpose of adding same to another; provided, that this section shall not apply to petitions on file with the Governor, upon which an election has been called: "Petition asking that an election be called for the creation of the proposed county of _____; said proposed county to embrace the following described territory. (Here describe proposed county by metes and bounds)", or, if the election is to be called for detaching territory from an existing county, the heading of petition shall be as follows: "Petition asking that an election be called to detach the follow
