contributions and accrued earnings - Service.

A.Any individual who was a member with a vested benefit with the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System on or after July 1, 1987, and who becomes appointed to a position in the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, or the Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission may, at the time the individual accepts such position, elect in writing to remain a member of the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System as long as the individual has not begun receiving benefits from the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System or the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System and shall not become a member of the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System.
