- Members - Compensation. Any municipality may appoint a regional planning commission. The members of the regional planning commission shall consist of the members of the municipal planning commission. The mayor, municipal engineer, chairman of the board of county commissioners, and county engineer shall be ex officio voting members of the commission but shall not be counted for purposes of a quorum. Members of the regional planning commission shall serve without pay.
