Text
statement and estimate. A municipal governing body may establish and maintain a public library for the use and benefit of the citizens of the municipality. The governing body may establish branch libraries in different parts of the municipality to accommodate the citizens of the municipality. After the establishment of a municipal public library, the municipal governing body shall include an item in its municipal financial statement and estimate of needs for the following fiscal year to maintain the public library.
