§ 11-22-119 — Regulation of railway and freight operations within

municipal limits. The municipal governing body may regulate levees, depots, depot grounds, and places of storing freight and goods, and provide for the passage of railways through the streets and public grounds of the municipality. The governing body may also regulate the crossing of railway tracks and the running of railway engines, cars and trucks within the limits of the municipality, and to govern the speed thereof, and to make provisions, rules and restrictions to prevent accidents at crossings and on the tracks of railways and to prevent fires from engines.
