Text
body resolution. The mayor of an incorporated municipality shall issue an order calling for an election on the question of whether or not the municipality shall change its name if: 1. an initiative petition is filed with the governing body; or2. the governing body, by resolution, so directs. The initiative petition or resolution of the governing body shall set forth the name of the municipality, its location, and the new name which is proposed for adoption.
