§ 11-16-209 — First election held in council-manager city.

At the first general municipal election held in the odd-numbered year following adoption of the statutory council-manager form of government, the officers to be elected and their terms are as follows: 1. Four-year terms: Councilmembers from Wards One, Two and Five (if one).
2.Two-year terms: Councilmembers from Wards Three, Four and Six (if one); and the councilmember at large. At general municipal elections held thereafter, the successors of the officers whose terms are expiring shall be elected for four-year terms.
