There is hereby created the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children. Pursuant to the terms and conditions of this compact, the State of Oklahoma seeks to join with other member states, as defined by this compact, in enacting this compact. This compact shall become effective upon the enactment into law by thirty-five states. Upon the effective date of this compact, this compact shall replace the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children codified at Section 571 of Title 10 of the Oklahoma Statutes. The provisions of the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children are as follows: ARTICLE I. PURPOSE The purpose of this compact is to: 1.
