Text

(A)The director of agriculture may adopt rules that do all of the following:
(1)Establish requirements for certifying a herd of cattle and bison as brucellosis-free;
(2)Establish requirements for validating a herd of swine as brucellosis-free;
(3)Designate an epidemiologist in accordance with federal regulations adopted by the animal and plant health inspection service, United States department of agriculture in 9 C.F.R. 78.1 et seq., as amended, and authorize the designated epidemiologist to reclassify animals at his discretion for the purposes of sections941.21to941.41of the Revised Code based upon epidemiology, herd history, or further tests and examinations.
