Text

To pay a portion of the amount of an assessment or annual levy of a conservancy district organized for the purpose of water supply, against any public corporation, the governing body or other taxing authority of such public corporation may appropriate any unappropriated funds of the water department of such public corporation. The aggregate of the amounts appropriated for such purpose during each successive five year period shall not exceed ninety per cent of the total amount of the annual levies collectible from such public corporation during such period.
