Text
All money assessed and collected under section5555.95of the Revised Code, which remains in the hands of the county treasurer, unexpended and unappropriated, for a period of six months after the annual September settlement for the fiscal year during which the tax was collected, shall be paid to the township or treasurer of the municipal corporation from which it was collected. Such funds shall be expended on the public roads under the direction of the board of township trustees of the proper township or legislative authority of the municipal corporation, in such manner as seems to them most advantageous to the interest of the township or municipal corporation for the construction, reconstruction, or repair of roads, and in building or repairing bridges.
