When the compensation, damages, and expenses of an improvement, other than the portion thereof to be specially assessed against benefited real estate, are to be paid in part by the county and in part by the townships in which such improvement is situated, under an agreement between the board of county commissioners and the boards of township trustees entered into under section5555.41or5555.43of the Revised Code, the part of such compensation, damages, and expenses to be paid by the interested townships may be paid from the proceeds of any levy made by the board of county commissioners under section5555.49of the Revised Code or from the proceeds of any levy made by the boards of township trustees under section5573.13of the Revised Code. When bonds are issued to provide funds for any such improvement, the shares of the county and of the townships and of the real estate specially assessed may be provided by a bond issue by the board of county commissioners under section5555.51of the Revised Code; or in lieu of such method of providing the necessary funds, the board of county commissioners may issue bonds under section5555.51of the Revised Code in an amount sufficient to provide the share of the county and of the real estate specially assessed and the remainder of the necessary funds, being the share of the interested townships, may be provided by the boards of township trustees by an issue of bonds under section5573.14of the Revised Code.
