Text

If the board of county commissioners finds the road petitioned for will serve the public convenience or welfare, it shall establish such road; or it may establish a road for the use of the public, with such changes or alterations in the route or course thereof as it deems necessary for the protection of the rights of other owners. The amounts of compensation due the owner shall be determined in accordance with sections163.01to163.22, inclusive, of the Revised Code. When the petitioner for said road has paid to the owners of lands through which said road will pass the amount found due them for compensation or damages, he may enter upon the premises and open up the road.
