Whenever the place of beginning, true course, or boundaries of a road are uncertain by reason of the removal of any monument or witness by which such road was originally designated, or the destruction of any record, or from any other cause, and the adjacent landowners are able to agree on the true course and boundaries of such road, they may call upon the county engineer to make a true plat and description thereof. Such plat and description shall be signed and acknowledged by such adjacent landowners, and placed upon the proper road records of the county. Thereafter the plat and description contained in the road records shall constitute the true course and boundaries of such road.
