Text
When a mortgage, encumbrance, or other instrument intended to create a lien upon or charge against registered land, as provided in section5309.47of the Revised Code, is filed in the county recorder's office, and the owner's duplicate certificate of title is produced, and it appears to the recorder that the person intending to create the lien or charge set forth in such instrument, has such right, and that the person in whose favor the same is sought to be created is entitled under sections5309.02to5310.21, inclusive, of the Revised Code, to have such instrument entered as a memorial upon the register, the recorder shall enter upon the proper folium of the register, where such title is registered, and upon the owner's duplicate certificate of title, a memorial accurately stating the purport
