Text
(A)Within one year of the effective date of this section, the department of medicaid shall apply for a medicaid waiver component to provide reentry services to medicaid-eligible imprisoned individuals for ninety days before an imprisoned individual's expected release date. The benefits provided shall include:
(1)Mental health services;
(2)Behavioral health services;
(3)Substance use disorder treatment and related services;
(4)A thirty-day supply of prescription medication at the time of release, including medication administered by injection.
(B)The department shall implement the medicaid waiver component within one year after approval from the United States centers for medicare and medicaid services.
(C)(1) If the department is unable to apply for the medicaid waiver component
