Text

Any person who has reason to believe that there is a substantial risk to an adult with a developmental disability of immediate physical harm or death and that the responsible county board of developmental disabilities has failed to seek an order pursuant to section5126.33or5126.331of the Revised Code may notify the department of developmental disabilities. Within twenty-four hours of receipt of such notice, the department shall cause an investigation to be conducted regarding the notice. The department shall provide assistance to the county board to provide for the health and safety of the adult as permitted by law.
