(A)After reviewing a report of abuse or neglect under section5126.31of the Revised Code or a report of a major unusual incident made in accordance with rules adopted under section5123.612of the Revised Code, a county board of developmental disabilities shall conduct an investigation if circumstances specified in rules adopted under division (B) of this section exist. If the circumstances specified in the rules exist, the county board shall conduct the investigation in the manner specified by the rules.
(B)The director of developmental disabilities shall adopt rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code specifying circumstances under which a county board shall conduct investigations under division (A) of this section and the manner in
