Text
Within sixty days after a vacancy on a county board of developmental disabilities occurs, including a vacancy created under section5126.0213of the Revised Code, the appointing authority shall fill the vacancy for the unexpired term. Before filling a vacancy, the appointing authority shall cause a notice of the vacancy to be published on at least two separate dates in one or more newspapers serving the county or counties the county board serves.
A member appointed to fill a vacancy occurring before the expiration of the term for which the member's predecessor was appointed shall hold office for the remainder of that term.
