Text
(A)No resident of an institution for persons with i ntellectual disabilities shall be compelled to perform labor that involves the operation, support, or maintenance of the institution or for which the institution is under contract with an outside organization. Privileges or release from the institution shall not be conditional upon the performance of such labor. Residents who volunteer to perform such labor shall be compensated at a rate derived from the value of the work performed, having reference to the prevailing wage rate for comparable work or wage rates established under section4111.06of the Revised Code.
