Text

There may be created in the department of developmental disabilities a bureau of research. The bureau shall:

(A)Plan, direct, and coordinate all research programs conducted by the department;
(B)Provide continuing evaluation of research programs;
(C)Direct and coordinate scientific investigations and studies as undertaken under this section. The department shall institute and encourage scientific investigation by the staffs of the various institutions under its control and supervision, and publish bulletins and reports of the scientific and clinical work done in such institutions. Scientific investigation in the department shall be undertaken and continued only with the approval of the director of developmental disabilities.
