Text
The department of rehabilitation and correction, by rule adopted under Chapter 119. of the Revised Code, shall prescribe standards and guidelines to be used by the parole board in determining, pursuant to section2971.04of the Revised Code, whether it should terminate its control over an offender's service of a prison term imposed upon the offender under division (A)(3), (B)(1)(a), (b), or (c), (B)(2)(a), (b), or (c), or (B)(3)(a), (b), (c), or (d) of section2971.03of the Revised Code. The rules shall include provisions that specify that the parole board may not terminate its control over an offender's service of a prison term imposed upon the offender under any of the specified divisions until after the offender has served the minimum term imposed as part of that prison term
