Text
Within the department of rehabilitation and correction, there shall be established and maintained a bureau of examination and classification. The bureau shall conduct or provide for sociological, psychological, and psychiatric examination of each inmate of the correctional institutions. The examination shall be made as soon as possible after each inmate is admitted to any of the institutions, and further examinations may be made, if it is advisable. If the inmate is determined to be a person with a developmental disability, as defined in section5123.01of the Revised Code, the bureau shall notify the sentencing court in writing of its determination within forty-five days after sentencing.
