Text
The department of rehabilitation and correction shall provide for the needs of persons with mental illnesses and persons with intellectual disabilities who are incarcerated in state correctional institutions. The department may designate an institution or a unit within an institution for the custody, care, special training, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons with mental illnesses or persons with intellectual disabilities.
