Text
(A)In addition to the duties described in division (D) of section5104.30of the Revised Code, the director of children and youth shall engage in activities to do the following:
(1)Encourage the establishment and licensure of family child care homes in this state, especially in areas with the greatest need for child care;
(2)Connect families and caretaker parents in need of child care with family child care homes not meeting the license capacity specified on their licenses, as described in division (E) of section5104.03of the Revised Code.
(B)The director may contract with one or more third-party entities to assist the director in performing the duties described in division (A) of this section.
(C)Not later than May 30, 2023, and periodically thereafter, the director shall submit to
