The state board of emergency medical, fire, and transportation services shall adopt rules under section4765.11of the Revised Code to establish an expedited veterans paramedic certification program for any person who is a veteran of the armed forces of the United States and who, while serving in the armed forces of the United States, received training as what this state categorizes as a paramedic. The program shall provide for a method or procedure whereby, upon application by such a veteran, the veteran is evaluated to determine the extent of the training the veteran received while serving in the armed forces of the United States.
