(A)The state medical board shall review all applications submitted under section4731.09of the Revised Code and determine whether each applicant meets the requirements for a license to practice medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and surgery.
(B)If the board determines that the evidence submitted with an application is satisfactory and the applicant meets the requirements for a license, the board shall issue to the applicant a license to practice medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and surgery, as applicable. If the applicant holds a medical degree other than the degree of doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathic medicine, the license shall indicate that the applicant is authorized to practice medicine and surgery pursuant to the laws of this state.
