Text

(A)If the state board of pharmacy establishes a drug database pursuant to section4729.75of the Revised Code, the information collected for the database shall be retained in the database and accessible to persons listed in division (A) of section4729.80of the Revised Code for at least five years.
(B)Except as provided in division (C) of this section, any information that identifies a patient shall be destroyed after it has been retained for five years unless a law enforcement agency or a government entity responsible for the licensure, regulation, or discipline of licensed health professionals authorized to prescribe drugs has submitted a written request to the board for retention of the information in accordance with rules adopted by the board under section4729.84of the Revised Code. (
