(A)The state board of pharmacy may issue a limited license to an animal shelter or county dog warden solely for the purpose of purchasing, possessing, and administering drugs that are distributed in a manufactured dosage form as described in section4729.532of the Revised Code. Unless otherwise approved by the board, no such license shall authorize or permit the distribution of these drugs to any person other than the originating wholesale distributor of the drugs. An application for licensure shall include the information the board requires by rule under this section. If the application meets the requirements of the rules adopted under this section, the board shall issue the license.
