(A)The state board of pharmacy may enter into contracts with private entities under which the entities process applications and renewal applications for wholesale distributors of dangerous drugs and terminal distributors of dangerous drugs. When entering into these contracts, the board shall give preference to entities that are Ohio-based companies. Any revenue received by the board from contracts entered into under this section shall be deposited into the state treasury to the credit of the occupational licensing and regulatory fund. The money may be used for any purpose determined by the board to be relevant to its duties, including the establishment and maintenance of a drug database pursuant to section4729.75of the Revised Code.
