A pharmacist who fails to make application to the state board of pharmacy for a license renewal within a period of three years from the expiration of the license must pass an examination for licensure and comply with sections4776.01to4776.04of the Revised Code; except that a pharmacist whose license has expired, but who has continually practiced pharmacy in another state under a license issued by the authority of that state, may obtain a renewed license upon payment to the executive director of the board the fee designated under division (A)(6) of section4729.15of the Revised Code.
