(A)To be eligible to receive a medication aide certificate, an applicant shall meet all of the following conditions:
(1)Be at least eighteen years of age;
(2)Have a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence as defined in section5107.40of the Revised Code;
(3)Successfully complete the course of instruction provided by a training program approved under section4723.66of the Revised Code;
(4)Meet the requirements for providing direct care under section4723.69of the Revised Code.
(B)Except as provided in division (C) of this section, if an applicant meets the requirements specified in division (A) of this section, the board of nursing shall issue a medication aide certificate to the applicant.
