Text
No person engaged in the business of, or acting in the capacity of, an auction firm or auctioneer shall bring or maintain any action in the courts of this state for the collection of compensation for any services performed as an auction firm or auctioneer without first alleging and proving that the person was a duly licensed auction firm or auctioneer at the time the alleged cause of action arose.
