(A)The director of education and workforce, by and with the advice of the director of public safety, shall amend any rules adopted under section4511.76of the Revised Code pertaining to pre-trip inspections of a school bus. The amendment shall remove any requirement that the following equipment be included in the pre-trip inspection:

(1)The turbo charger;

(2)The alternator;

(3)The water pump;

(4)The power steering pump;

(5)The air pump;

(6)Any part of the steering system;

(7)Any part of the suspension;

(8)Any part of the air brakes;

(9)Any part of the brake equipment, including drums or rotors;

(10)The springs and spring mounts;

(11)The air bags.

(B)The state highway patrol shall still examine all of the equipment listed in division (A) of this section during its sc
