Text

(A)Upon the immediate approach of a public safety vehicle, as stated in section4511.45of the Revised Code, every pedestrian shall yield the right-of-way to the public safety vehicle.
(B)This section shall not relieve the driver of a public safety vehicle from the duty to exercise due care to avoid colliding with any pedestrian.
(C)Except as otherwise provided in this division, whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to one predicate motor vehicle or traffic offense, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
