(A)The registrar of motor vehicles shall impose a class D suspension of the person's driver's license, commercial driver's license, temporary instruction permit, probationary license, or nonresident operating privilege for the period of time specified in division (B)(4) of section4510.02of the Revised Code on any person who is a resident of this state and is convicted of or pleads guilty to a violation of a statute of any other state or any federal statute that is substantially similar to section2925.02,2925.03,2925.04,2925.041,2925.05,2925.06,2925.11,2925.12,2925.13,2925.14,2925.141,2925.22,2925.23,2925.31,2925.32,2925.36, or2925.37of the Revised Code, provided that the person's license, permit, or privilege is required to be suspended had the offense occurred in this state.
