Text

(A)The department of public safety shall not provide social security numbers from its driver license and vehicle registration records to any person, except local, state, or federal governmental agencies. This division does not preclude the registrar from reporting a person's social security number if the number was provided in the request for information.
(B)The department shall not provide to any person credit card account numbers or any other information obtained when a person uses a credit card to pay motor vehicle registration taxes or fees, license fees, or other similar taxes, fees, penalties, or charges imposed or levied by the state and collected by the department, except that such information may be provided to the financial institutions and credit issuing companies directly in
