Notwithstanding any provision of any certificate furnished by an insurer in connection with, or pursuant to any group sickness and accident insurance policy delivered, issued, renewed, or used, in or outside this state, on or after July 20, 1988, and notwithstanding any provision of any policy of insurance delivered, issued for delivery, renewed, or used, in or outside this state, on or after July 20, 1988, whenever the policy or certificate is subject to the jurisdiction of this state and provides for reimbursement for any service that may be legally performed by a mechanotherapist, who was issued a certificate as a mechanotherapist under section4731.15of the Revised Code and practices in accordance with rules adopted under section4731.151of the Revised Code, reimbursement under the polic

Notwithstanding any provision of any certificate furnished by an insurer in connection with, or pursuant to any group sickness and accident insurance policy delivered, issued, renewed, or used, in or outside this state, on or after July 20, 1988, and notwithstanding any provision of any policy of insurance delivered, issued for delivery, renewed, or used, in or outside this state, on or after July 20, 1988, whenever the policy or certificate is subject to the jurisdiction of this state and provides for reimbursement for any service that may be legally performed by a mechanotherapist, who was issued a certificate as a mechanotherapist under section4731.15of the Revised Code and practices in accordance with rules adopted under section4731.151of the Revised Code, reimbursement under the policy or certificate shall not be denied when the service is rendered by a person so registered, but only if that person completed educational requirements in mechanotherapy on or before November 3, 1975.

As used in this section, "educational requirements" has the same meaning as in section4731.151of the Revised Code.
