Text
(A)As used in this section and section3905.50of the Revised Code, "independent insurance agent" means an insurance agent who is neither employed nor controlled solely by an insurer, whose agency contract with an insurer provides that upon termination of the contract, the ownership of the property rights of all expiration information vests in the agent or the agent's heirs or assigns, and whose agency contract with an insurer permits the agent to represent concurrently other insurers of the agent's choice.
(B)No agent other than an independent insurance agent shall represent self, or shall be represented, to the public as an independent insurance agent or agency.
