Text

The exercise of the powers granted by sections3737.90to3737.948of the Revised Code shall be in all respects for the benefit of the people of the state, for the improvement of their health, safety, convenience, and welfare, and for the enhancement of their residential, agricultural, recreational, economic, commercial, and industrial opportunities and is a public purpose. Because the oversight of corrective actions and victim compensation concerning releases of petroleum constitutes the performance of essential governmental functions, the petroleum underground storage tank release compensation board is not required to pay any taxes upon any property acquired or used by the board under sections3737.90to3737.948of the Revised Code, or upon the income therefrom.
