Text
The board of health of a city or general health district may appoint, define the duties of, and fix the compensation of the number of inspectors of shops, wagons, appliances, and food, and the number of other persons necessary to carry out this chapter and Chapter 3717. of the Revised Code and, if applicable, to carry out any duties assumed by the board under an agreement entered into under division (A)(2) of section917.02of the Revised Code. Inspectors for those purposes may enter any house, vehicle, or yard. The board may authorize the health commissioner to perform the duties of the inspectors.
